Sun Blade X6250
Shirokane1 Distributed-Memory Server Type-B
The Sun Blade X6250 is equipped with two Quad-Core Intel Xeon 3.0 GHz CPUs. A total of 768 nodes are connected by a high-speed data communication network, forming the largest system in the genome center. The operating system is CentOS 5.2. Other than computing nodes, nodes are allocated for the Web server and login server. The load balancer automatically allocates the nodes, thereby ensuring efficient use the available computer resources.
